Well after two brand new Top line front case failures (Whining like Crazy) I want to just stop fudging with it and buy an already assembled OEM Mitsu Front case..
I have searched the site as well as some vendor's stores and they only sell the OEM parts (gears and case) to put it together yourself.
I've read on here that some people have actually bought these pumps assebled and ready to be bolted on from the Mitsu. dealer and would like to get the part number if anybody has ordered it from them...
I've called my local dealer asking about it and they are a bunch retards..
The guy asked the vehicle info and when I said it was for a 1990 Eclipse turbo (so that he would give me the price for the 6 bolt pump) they said that only 95-99's had turbos, that my turbo was rigged on there.. I was like WHAT!
....
So If I can get the part number for a 6 bolt front case with gears already assembled I can then have them just order it in and pray
that hopefuly they won't screw that part up!

FYI, the 90 oil pump used straight cut gears and not helical ones and have been known to 'whine', same as a straight cut transmission or supercharger. It doesn't hurt anything but some people think something may be wrong when it's actually operating as it was intended to!
. Drop the oil pan and check for metallic dust or worse yet, slivers. Going through oil pumps that fast shouldn't be happening! I'm thinking you might have something in the pan getting sucked into the pump and causing them to fail so quickly because it sounds like you did everything else right. Use a rare earth magnet to try and draw any ferrous metal towards your drain plug to see if dropping the pan is warranted if you like but I highly recommend a drop and clean before putting another pump on.
