Hey Matt, good news I got one for ya! :applause: Long story short, one of my guys found one in a junk yard, and pulled it for me. It came from a 97 Galant I think, Its a SOHC engine, haven't even taken it apart yet,

Keep it real,

Jon

hey jon thats great, but just for info sake.... i hear that i could also use the 2000+ eclipse 4 cyl blocks as well. can anyone confirm this

I think you might want to take a look at a 3g block and a 2g block. I bought pistons for a 2000 Eclipse 4g64 from CP and they were no where near being able to be used in my 2g 4g64 block. I called CP about the issue and they notified me that the issue is with the 2000+ Eclipse, and 8g+ Galant blocks. The guy I spoke to told me that the 4g64 block in the newer years was slightly shorter than the older years. Here is a picture of a 2G 4g64 pistons and a 3G 4g64 piston... You can see a height difference in the piston from the pin to the piston surface.

Documented in my 4g64 thread... http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/cylinder-head-short-block/313201-4g63-4g64-swap-2.html#post151675376
