Anyone want to point me to a DIY write up for pulling the head off yourself?

I heard there was one on vfaq but it doesn't seem to be there anymore, and ive found a lot of crap inbetween here and there on how to do it, step by step.

I just blew my headgasket (at least i think), compression is 180 180 150 155 across for a dry, and I have a spare car, SO I'm thinking of pulling off the head and replacing the engine internals myself.

NOW, what i need is
1.) where can i find a write up for this kinda job
2.) what should i replace while im in there
3.) Any other little detail I might need to consider b4 i do it myself opposed to having a reputable dsm shop do it for me. I know time is money, but what am I looking at here.

I got quoted 600 for the labor to get to the HG, plus costs of parts for whatever else. I'm not sure if that 600 includes reassembling the head. Most definately doesn't include resurfacing.

Plus , if i did this job myself, what tool do u use to know IF the head needs resurfacing??? How do i pressure test the valves?

Thanks guys!!
