My car just recently starting smoking bad. What could it be?
I can start the car and its fine and the time it warms up a few minutes it starts smoking like a locomotive. As I start up the road the goes away at cruising speeds but once I down shift, come to a stop, or really get into it again it starts smoking agian.
A little over a month or so ago I did a compression test and things seemed a little low across. I have 8..3 c/r wiseco piston and the test results was around 160-65 but with upping the c/r I have read with the pistons the c/r should run around 180 c/r.....correct?
Also I did a wet test and the c/r went up around 10.......so in theory I am saying the rings or oil ring is bad.
