Rickshaw,
Another one!

Is it very important to have the bolt in the engine mount which is right on top of the tensioner pulley? I can't seem to get it in there with the pulley and belt in the way.

Mount was modified to fit a rod to align with the tensioner, and i can't get the bolt in anymore after the belt is on.

how are you guys compressing tensioner? with a prybar?

I'll take pics of it, once my camera is charged.
THanks.

You compress the tensioner with a special tool that gradually presses down on the tensioner arm, but im sure you can do it with anything as long as it's done slowly.

Heres a pic, which bolt are you talking about?

according to your picture, it would be the one thats half covered by the tensioner pulley.

the one wheres its empty in the engine mount. this is a 6 bolt swap setup with a 2g mount.
also, as you can see clearly the cam sprocket timing marks are off. i have tried aligning the 2 center marks, the outside marks never seem to want to line up. accordin to the shop manual, i only use the 2 center marks and the dowels correct? I don't have to line up all four markings?

can you guys see anything else wrong?

The center marks should meet yes. But the outer two marks are to make sure you are not a tooth off. If you use a stright edge and go from EX cam left mark, to IN cam right mark. Should go dead nuts stright thru the middle of the cam BOLTS, not the center marks. Plus remember with the swap, you no longer have 4 bolts/nuts holding on the motor mount stand due to the water pump. You only have three, and now you are looking to just run two (one bolt, one stud) Not a good idea in my opinion.

awesome, reply i was just looking for. I will take the timing belt off and redo the cam timing. I will also put the bolt back in.

THanks

use a vice and stick a pin in it. thats the easiest way. IF you dont want to take it off the motor use a big ass c clamp.
