ITM pistons from partsdinosaur, what clearance use?

Hi, anybody of you gauys have ever used ITM pistons from Partsdinosaur?

I got a piston kit (0.020 overbore) for the 6bolt and i was specting to find some kind of instructions inside but there's nothing there.

Si i need to know what piston to cylinder wall clearance should i use.
And also wht ring gap should i leave them at?

Can anybody help me on this?

Are they forged or cast? Im just asking because you should know that it is the difference in piston to wall clearance. Cast doesn't expand as much so it allows for tighter piston/wall clearance, and forged is ment to expand so you have to give it a little extra room to expand, and not get stuck in the cylinder

The rule of thumb that I use is:

...........Stock.................Street/Strip..................Race

Cast------.0015-.0025"-------.0025-.003"--------------.003-.004"

Forged----.004-.005"---------.005-.006"----------------.0055-.0065"

THis is just a basic run down. If your within these #s you should be fine.


Also piston/ring gap should be around .0015"
