ok I've searched for my question but no one has my problem so here it goes.... I currently have a 95 gst and a extra 6-bolt block and head with 1st gen intake manifold on a stand in my garage.
I want to swap the engines but first I want to rebuild the 6-bolt. My plan is to send out the engine to a shop and have them rebuild it for me and then swap them myself. I read that some people use some 2nd gen parts like the head and pistons and such. Is this better than just putting in the complete 6-bolt? My goal is to use my car while he works on it and whens its ready to swap them. I know there are some 2nd gen parts i need to keep as well.
Can someone help me with telling me what I would need if I wanted to do this and if its a good idea? Or maybe there's a better plan someone has done? thanks!
