I highly doubt that, but thanks for the concern. If it happens, Ill deal with it then.

I've run both a 1/8" flange and now a 1/2" flange. A flat surface is a flat surface. I don't think you'll have a problem.

Ok guys I need some help with the RRE wire harness.

I thought I had it all firgured out, one side plugs into the 1g CAS and the loose wire taps into the old 2g CAS plug. At the other end of the cars main wire harness there is two plugs that could be used for the opposite end of the RRE harness. They are pictured below, triangle plug with teal color inside.

Now, there is one plug with short wiring and one with long wiring on the cars main wire harness . The short wiring is just enough for the coil pack, so I assumed the other wiring was where I hooked up the RRE harness to. Well I just looked at my A/C compressor I pulled out and that has the same type of plug. So the long one must be for the A/C.

So my question is, where do I hook up the other end of the RRE harness to?

That's how I've done it for years, and the only way if you ask me. Anyone who dry starts a motor is just asking for trouble.

The long one is for the AC compressor, and I'm really not sure about the other two (there should be two). My harness is a little different because I've got a 95. My harness has two plugs on the end so it was easy to tell which one was the right one because they were right next to each other. Where do you tap the white wire? I'm guessing whichever is closer to the white wire will be your best bet.

Edit: After looking at it again, My 2g 6 Bolt Build, post 272. That little sensor thing on the mani. The connecter to that should be in the same area as the connecter to the harness. At least that's how it is on mine. Let me know if you need a picture. If you look at it though you should be able to see what I'm talking about.

A picture would help, if you dont mind.

Im confused about what you wrote. You said the long one is for the A/C, and I believe the other one is for my coilpack. Are you saying that there is a 3rd one thats not in the picture?

As for the white wire, that taps into the plug that normally plugs into the 2g CAS. The white wire is all the way over by the 1g CAS, the end with the triangle plug on it reaches all the way over to the drivers side. Its the triangle plug Im not sure of?

The RRE 1G CAS harness has three total plugs. 1 goes into the 1G cas, 1 into the stock cam angle sensor harness, and 1 into the stock crank angle harness.

hope that helps

***For those who search this*** I'm not wrong, as quoted below The stock 95-96 does have 3 triangular plugs (Crank, cam, and AC), but what I was talking about is the RRE 1G CAS harness that RRE sells.

Just look on the back of the motor around the edge of the timing cover. The crank sensor harness comes out just behind the timing cover about mid engine. That will be the connector that you are looking for. For other connectors their is the 3 wire A/C compressor one and then the coil pack one.

I cut the harness open and rerouted it so only the injectors and capacitor when on the intake and moved the coil pack and ignitor to the now empty A/C bracket and routed their harness around the back of the intake. Of course I removed the connector for A/C and MAP as they where not needed on my install anymore.

Ok guys, Im just going to have to look more closely when I get a chance. I know it shouldnt be this hard.

Is the plug Im looking for on the same wire harness as the injectors? Or is it located somewhere else?

Actually, you are wrong, in his case it has two plugs and a white wire. 95's have three plugs.

I'll have to get you a picture around lunch time. Hopefully I don't forget. But yes, there should be three of those plugs. (AC, Coilpack, CAS harness)

So there should be three triangle plugs on the drivers side of the car? Instead of CAS harness, dont you mean crank sensor harness?

A picture would be great.

I think I figured it out last night, there is actually 3 triangle plugs on the cars harness, not two. So the longest one, the only one that could reach where the crank sensor would be, has to be the plug I need. So I plugged it into that one.

I knew I'd forget to get the pic yesterday... sorry. But I actually did mean the CAS harness, I was just saying there should be a spot for those three. The CAS plug goes into the crank angle sensor's plug. Glad you got it figured out though. How long til you fire er' up?

Here:

CAS (RRE) wiring harness[<------- Plug for old crank angle sensor
Coil Pack[<------ Plug from Engine harness
AC compressor[<------ Plug from Engine harness

All three being those triangular pieces.

Can't wait for it to be done I'm guessing you're not going to the shootout though?
