alright a couple days ago my water pump gasket went bad. i replaced the gasket (because the water pump is BRAND NEW) and put everything back together. put the timing belt back on and come to find out i set the timing wrong. no big deal, i tear everything down again and reset the timing. start the car up again and its STILL OFF! so tonight, i tear her down again for a third time and reset the timing belt again. make sure motor is TDC and TRIPPLE check my marks. cam is good, oil pump is good. crank is good, and finally the balance shaft is good. start the car up again and IT STILL VIBRATES. im positive the timing is PERFECT but im clueless on what is causing the vibrations. it defintely feels like a balance shaft is off but im positive timing is right on. it wasnt doing this before i replaced the gasket....

thanks in advance
david...

alright sorry for all the confusion. i re-read the whole timing belt replacement procedure on vfaq and i never checked to see if the rear balance shaft was phased. i will be checking that tomorrow after work. just consider me the most unlucky dsm'er because i have done 5 timing belt jobs in the last 3 months on my car and only 1 of them went correctly because of this...

Yeah I was going to say that I did the same thing on my first talon I did the job 5 times before it was corrected, glad you got it figured out.
