Heres my problem.
I am currently assembling my engine and have ran into a problem.
I am using standard oem mitsu bearings with a polished unturned crank.
My main clearances are between .0025-.003 when the suggested clearances are .0008-.0016.
My main journals on my crank read between 2.2435''-2.2440'' when the allowable specs are 2.2435''-2.2832''. This means that my crank is just barely in spec but it is causing bearing clearance to be quite large.
My question is can I run .003 without a problem?
Also, I am using Manley rods and they suggest a .002 minimum to .003 maximum bearing clearance and all of my rod journals are at exactly .003.
I thought I saw somewhere that the maximum main clearance was .004.
Thanks for the help in advance.
