or at least i think i do. ok one thing i hate about my set up is it blows HGs its tuned but still 30 lbs of boost always seams to find its way to my coolant system. the car last night when i went to the track ran terrible, still magaged to pull of a 11.9 @ 123, the motor was missfiring and breaking up in 3rd and 4th gear. the day before i was at bushure have my car tuned so i know its not a tuning issue.
but when i took it out tonight, it was much worse, everytime i got on the car it seamed to drop to 2 clylinders, everytime.....anything else that could cause this? pulling the head is no big deal ( ive dun it 5 times...:D )but if anyone has any other ideas....... im up for checking other things:)

Sounds like the head is lifting, running 30 pounds of boost.

Did you have both the block and head decked?

I'm guessing you have ARP head studs, where the threads perfect when you put the head on? A small burr on a thread will throw your torque readings way off. By the way what are your studs torqued to?

Well you said the motor was misfiring, so why dont you fix that and see if your problem ceases? When have you replaced spark plugs and wires? I know these are simple, but they could be the root of the problem. Can you explain what your car does and when? Does it do it when driving? When in neutral revving? In boost? Out of boost?

yes both teh head and block were deckd and i didnt notice any burrs or anything on the treads..the head studs are tourqed to 95 ft lb

ive been triing to fix the misfire...brand new wires and 5 sets of plugs and i replaced plugs yesterday and the problem happens only in boost..not when free reving or normal driving

dsmlik is not reading any abnormal numbers (1 maybe 2 counts here or there. very seldomly) of knock with a new knock senser..one thing i did think of is phantom knock but ...no

the real thing thats convincing me of the hg is the coolent being pushed...

what valve spring you are using? FP 280..... fp3 or fp2x?
One of our car using fp3 have a same problem during high rpm around 8500-9000, after changing to dual valve spring the problem settle

He is running a stock valve train w/ FP2 cams. Motor is being reved to about 7700 - 8000 rpm.

Have you checked your timing lately? If its off by some degree it can make you misfire like crazy.

yes..base timeing is set at 5 degrees btdc...and my timing curve on link looks normal
