I just got a black top cas from a friend of mine. It has a small crack in its cover. Is there a possibility of problems concerning this? Or will it be just fine?

I took the cover off and looked inside, everything is clean and looks good. Just making sure the cover doesnt server a purpose I havent thought of.

Thanks

well if your refering to it having oil or some kind of fluid thats going to come out of it...thats a no...but you dont really want water or stuff getting in there...try putting a some jbweld or somthing to fix it

I'd just JB weld up the inside of the cover so its unsuspecting to others. I'd assume that any moisture in the CAS could damage it or possibly couse faulty readings.

The black top CAS is a nice find, it uses a Hall effect type sensor which can be more accurate, and also can help rid 2g's of the random misfire code when a 6 bolt is swapped.
