I got a question for you guys, I drove my Talon after fixing a boost leak problem the other day and it was feeling good, I took it around the corner a few times then under the hood began smoking (white). I stopped the car and saw there was oil leaking, not alot but enough. I lifted up my hood and it looked like someone through a tiny cup of oil up on the underside of the hood by the front of the engine. The timing belt was wet with oil and the cams. The cam seals were dry and the valve cover gasket around that area was dry to. I cleaned up the oil pump and the timing belt and cams and revved the engine again, no oil this time. Do you think I have a bad oil pump? Any feedback would be great thanks....

No the dipstick didn't pop out at all. I checked everywhere around that area for possible oil leaks and only saw a little leak by the oil filter housing but not enough to spit oil on the underside of the hood.

My guess would either be the dipstick popped out or the gasket on the oil fill cap is leaking and needs to be replaced.

"Oil cap - the stock oil cap gasket often hardens to a plastic consistency, causing the cap to leak. You can order a new gasket only, you don't need to order a new cap. The part # for the gasket is MD311638. Note that if your old gasket is still in one piece, adding the new soft rubber gasket on top of the old hardened one makes the cap seal to the valvecover better."

uh yeah that info is pretty old. i wouldnt add a new gasket to the old one. just replace the gasket & if you want a tighter seal just pry down the metal tabs slightly on the oil cap.
