Head & Block Forum Guidelines

NO BEGINNER QUESTIONS - THEY WILL BE DELETED COMPLETELY!

This forum was created for the more advanced DSM enthusiasts in mind, specifically, those who have already modded their DSMs past the Stage 2 point (400hp). Unless you have extensive experience in the building, tuning, and repairing DSMs, you should post in one of the other forums. Everyone is welcome to read through and learn from these discussions, but please be aware that topics that don't belong in this forum will be deleted. If you're not sure if the question is advanced enough to be posted in this forum, please post it in the Newbie Forum instead.

If you have not thoroughly read through the following resources, you should not be posting a question in this forum:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/tech.php
http://www.dsmtuners.com/parts/default.php
http://www.vfaq.com/
http://www.dsm.org/
or a DSM repair manual

Also, be forewarned that the moderating in this forum will be much more strict than in our other forums due to the level of technical discussions that will be held. Do not complain publicly about the moderation or the policies. Any off topic discussion within a thread (including complaints about moderation or warnings) will be deleted so that the thread's main content will be saved and added to. Be sure to use good grammar and punctuation, as all posts in this forum should appear to be written by an intelligent, educated adult who has something worthwhile to contribute.

Don't be offended if your post gets deleted. It will likely happen to plenty others who fail to follow these guidelines. For a good example of what is considered an "advanced topic", read through past threads and try and compare them to your own. If you've never performed anything more difficult than a timing belt replacement or clutch install, then you probably should revert to the Newbie forum.

One last note - if someone posts a begginer question, or something that does not belong here, nobody is to make fun of the question or the person asking it. Mistakes happen. Report the post to a moderator and move on. Starting a flamewar by rousing the person will just get you kicked out of here.

One other point to add for all to read. This is not the Hangout. This is a forum for serious high level technical discussions. The assumption is of intelligent thoughtful discussions. Please use proper punctuation and grammar. I don't care if you 'always type like that' or if you thinking I am being a jerk. If your post, no matter how technical it is, reads like a writing of a 4th grader, it will be moved, closed, or deleted, period. Take it into account when you make your post that a huge pet peeve of most of the wisemen is trying to read a badly written post and most of them will not even respond to them. If you feel insulted, then you know how the Wisemen feel when you insult us with crap disguised as your post.
