Holy crap! a 71 page thread?? Now thats long. I like the car man.

Im disappointed that he switched the image files.. I can;t view them at work after page 2

Welcome. You're the reason I signed up at WJ. It sure wasn't to deal with supe not listening... ;)

Can someone please explain how the alt works^^.. Wouldn't the cars voltage drop if he was going slow like on a turn or something... Also he wouldn't use the alt when idling i would imagine.. He has to be moving to charge his battery??

:hmm:...

Cant say im a fan...

Just glanced at all 71 pages, while the design, ideas are there.. the work isnt..

Im sure your just mocking stuff up and will perfect everything in the end, but for now, ill hold :idontknow:

^ +1 on the fab work, whats with all the square tubing? That stuff needs a tig!
Yeah that alt setup is fairly stupid imo, no slow driving and may have issues with voltage drops from draining a smaller battery at the start line.
Weak spark/blowout on the flag drop? 0.o

It'd be nice to have a condensed thread of just pictures.
A condensed thread of just pictures from the author... or in other words, a blog entry? :)

I wish I had enough time to read through all 72 pages. Some day more sites will encourage users to post blogs for build threads so we don't have to weed through pages of useless posts just to see a few updates from the author/builder.

Yup, pretty much. This is why I never did it on my street car. But, for his road race application, it will work just fine. Circle trackers run them off the rear ends just like this all the time.

right on.. It seems like you would want a bigger pulley so it takes less movement to make the smaller more more.. Ya he needs to post an actual build thread..

Link worked for me, but good lord the english skills on that forum are horrific :(. I only seen a couple pics as I'm not going through 70+ pages on that forum. Congrads on a one off build in your garage!

Oh the irony
