Yup, pretty much. This is why I never did it on my street car. But, for his road race application, it will work just fine. Circle trackers run them off the rear ends just like this all the time.Can someone please explain how the alt works^^.. Wouldn't the cars voltage drop if he was going slow like on a turn or something... Also he wouldn't use the alt when idling i would imagine.. He has to be moving to charge his battery??
