The government of Canada is trying to stop the importation/sale of Competition Leaded Racing fuels, You might ask your self what does that have to do with me? Sure maybe you don't use Race fuel for your DSM or other car that goes to the track, But the whole Drag racing community is built and funded upon the big names from the US and Canada and those weekend racers that use Leaded fuel and make up usually 75-80% of drag track participants, If the axe falls on Leaded fuels for competition use most likely this will mean the end of our tracks, If not most close to all of them. Not to mention the loss of being able to use Leaded race fuels for our high boost applications, I don't want to loose my C16 and I'm sure you don't either!

Write your local MP! Make sure you use good points such as loss of Revenue and an enconmic hit by the loss of US race teams traveling to canada, Loss of jobs by the possibility of tracks being forced to close due to the bulk of racers using Leaded fuel not running their cars, and as a result if tracks close this will force people to resume illegal street racing if they can't go to the track.

Together with everyones input and letters to Parliment we can stop this!

They try this like every 4 years or something, it won't happen because aviation makes up over 90% of the leaded fuel used in Canada. There is no point in them passing a law that forbids 1 or 2 percent of the total consumers using it. There was a bunch of info on this on the calgarydsm.com website. I can't remember all the details but pretty much theres nothing to worry about.
