I was doing a lil surfing tonight and happened across something interesting. AHP has reduced the price of their stage 2 FMIC kit from $850 to $695. This seems like a very sweet deal, considering this includes all the piping from the turbo to the throttle body (regardless of what type of turbo you are running!), as well as the mandatory BOV flange, silicone couplers, and clamps.

This being said, I am well aware that AHP has been infamous for very long lead times in the past. I was wondering if anyone on here that has actually done business with AHP recently could share their experiences with wait time, customer service, part quality, etc. Also, if anyone has this specific FMIC kit, please let me know how you like it. Thanks!

Anyone have an opinion on AHP or their FMIC kit?

By the way, if anyone else is interested in this kit, the website is www.ahpproducts.com

i ordered a o2 housing from him and paid on the phone with my credit card in april 2003.

guess what, i still dont have it. he wont answer his phone, return emails, anything.

i feel this is all i need to say.

AHP FMIC kit: Worth the wait

Probably not...

Just get a side to side core the size you want then use a greddy 60mm or 50mm diameter piping kit (match tank outlet and inlet size).

Or just get a dejon tool one.

I'm still doing my pipes. Once cut and I weld on the BOV flange I'll have a pipefitter that I know do the the beads... I actually helped him run that machine at a site once...

There are better kits out there customer service wise and parts wise.

Heck I bought a bar and plate core from a guy on ebay just because it was just the right size and his welds looked even better than mine..

The thing matches the bumper opening just right and My pipes are running alot like the AHP short route... Mine is a bit different for my own reasons but the same concept applies.

Comp outlet 90 to the 180 for the driverside endtank. Pass end tank around rad core support and up to TB. With a BOV flange around about OE in the bay but a MAFT setup before the TB elbow.

It is'nt that hard to do yourself if you don't want to cut holes for the rearward facing endtank tubes like some kits. Just get a spearco core with end to end flow and the tubes on the end.

You can "keep" your fogs too.. Just Pull the metal clips holding the glass to the frame. Basically take an aftermarket foglight wire it to the plug off the stocker, pull its lens off and fire it thru the OE lens about where the stock bulb was. It really does a good job of hiding end tanks.

If you have to cut out your grid in the lower fascia do it carefully in case you want to do what I'm doing. I'm grafting it back in further forward like I'm doing with the fogs. It also gives you something to fasten a screen to protect the IC with. Looks stock at a glance. Only a DSMer would say hey look there is a FMIC hiding in there.
