your gonna get wheel spin buddy and you cant help it.

get a 20g ;)

yea i know i cant afford the lsd right now but ill have the wheel hop regardless of what i do, with a 16g i wouldnt need a fmic right away would i, but wouldnt i with a 20g? or could i run a 20g set up for awhile with all the mods and not boost high while i save for a fmic?

With the 20g, you could use the same manifold. Like Grn95GST said, you could get a internally gated 20g, but what about other mods? Injectors? AFC(or alternative)? Clutch? It's hard to tell someone what they can "Bolt on" to their car without knowing any other mods they have...

if you are like me...broke and raising a 19 month old son....the evo16g is nice!!!....just my .02...

50 Trim. Hands down. Great internal gate, no boost creep.

Damn, I wondered when someone was going to mention that:thumb:
But hey if you are hell bent on a B16G, hit me up in two weeks. I have one ported and clipped in great condition(no shaft play) I'll be selling.

for FWD...

lag is your friend.. if you want a 20G.. clip it.. if you want a 50 trim.. i'd say go with the more agressive turbine if you can, the PTE equal to a stage 5 escapes me right now but that's an idea..

any small turbo like a 50 trim or 20g is going to give you traction issues

If he's deciding between a 16G and 20G, chances are that he does not need a "stage 5" (no one refers to turbos by stages cept honda rice companies) whatever that is. I suspect he means 54-56trim. This is not a guy going for 600HP it seems, so I would once again recommend the 50trim (most companies make their own version). It would be best to pretend you never read the above post.

I did used to have a Big16G until it spun a bearing last week. I have a waste-gate dump also. When I had the Big16G all I had was tire spin at 10-12lbs. 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear was non-exsistant. I have bald ass tires b/c of all of this and its snowing. Now I am runnin the 14b and traction issues have gone down a bit. But a FWD will never make the power needed.

it would be best if you learned something before making retarded posts.

i said a stage 5 TURBINE, and yes that is a real part, if you know anything about garrets you'd know this. turbonetics labels turbines differently that PTE, PTE uses the trim and turbonetics names them.. stage 5 is a turbine trim. i know it as stage 5 but just don't happen to know it's "trim" off the top of my head.

the boy is asking for a recommendation for a FWD car, so i told him what i recommended.

Good turbo also. It has made 350whp and 376 lbs-ft of torque at 22psi. If you have a 2G, I would recommend this turbo, but only for AWD. FWD would be traction limited with its fast spool characteristics. A larger turbo ( RS43 or RS49 ) would be better for FWD with a slower spool and more top end.

As you can see we all have our own tastes. Truth is ehat matters is the way you drive your car.. And of course the size of you bank account! All of the the fp greens and other large turbos are gonna be monsters. T25 starts hard and dies early, T28 Pull down low and had excelent top end. But its expensive as hell. TDo5H 16g starts a little later and pulls real hard to redline, 20G has yet more lag but kick ass up top.

Thus if you drive around town alot you may find the T28 or 16G is perfect for you. If you have serious Drag plans in mind the 20G or bigger turbos are the key.

well i just got a big16g, with a 34mm flapper and its been ported alot. anybody recommend if i should keep stock springs with a set of 264/272 or just pay like 200 250 for hks or some crowers..?
