I was wondering what some of the best #'s from a 16g awd car where on a dyno. there is a reason to this question

I just ran a wrx guy who claims that his turbo is smaller then my 16g( he says it flows 450+cfm)........now heres where it gets good.......he claims he is making 340hp.350tq TO THE GROUND....on this trubo at like 25psi. I ma finding it hard to belive that a turbo that small is putting out that much power to the ground on an awd. I believe he CLAIMS the turbo to be a vf30 or something. Let me hear it.

The small 16g record as far as I know is around 355 whp.

Non nitrous the faster guys are putting down 340-350ish, on nitrous, my car made 423HP, 428TQ to the wheels.

Don't let the cfm rating fool you dude...they don't mean crap, trust me.
I am not to sure about those turbo's but I know vendors usually rate them at like 350-375 hp.

300whp@20psi w/93 octane 4 me... but these 16g numbers wont tell you anything about whether or not that turbo is capable on the ej20. Two different turbo's, two different motors- and a cfm rating won't help you determine anything.

Candela- If two different turbos have the same maximum flow rating, odds are they will have very similar max power numbers, assuming similar engines (both DOHC high VE import engines).

I dont want to get into anything... you are correct in a wide broad range. I was talking about the 16g on any dsm compared to the vf30 on a wrx with mods that he does not know.

As for the cfm rating... all I was saying is that it will not help him determine which is more capable for power (different cars). Import/domestic, dohc has VERY little to do with what effect the turbo will produce. Bore, stroke, VE..etc will Im sure you know this, no need to argue, just saying that the two cannot really be compared is all aside from somewhat close cfm ratings (even though its at a 15psi desginated level).
