Is it going to be worth getting some HKS 264/272 Cams and a Tial external wastegate with an EVO III turbo? I am hopefully going to be picking up one of these turbos in a few weeks and would like help know what else I could get to make it run to its fullest potential. I still need a Walbro pump (190 or 255) and injectors (550s or 660s). Please let me
 
Bigger intercooler is required for sure. but we need a little more information to answer that question. What kind of numbers are you planning on running?
 
660's will give you more tuning room later on. A rewired 190 sould be enough. I personally think that if your going with cams and an external setup you should also go with a larger turbo, such as a 50-trim, to get the most out of your setup.
 
to make a 16G to run its full potential all you need is a 190/550 if ur running on 93+ octane or a 255/660 for 91 and lower. An upgraded SMIC or a FMIC. As for the wastegate there is no reason for it because a 2.5" exhaust will get rid of all you fumes; a 3" exhaust and you will start to get boost creep because a full 3" is too big for a 16G (any kind of 16G).

I researched alot about the exhaust i talked to people from RRE and DSMotorsports and they say a 3" exhaust is overkill for a 16G. They told me since i wanted a TDO5H 18G (flows slightly more than a B16G about 50cfm) get a 2.5" downpipe w/ test pipe OR hi-flow car to a full 3" cat-back would be optimal for 16G/18G setup:dsm:
 
If you want to go all out with external and cams I would go bigger than a 16g. In fact Ive been looking at AGP turbos and they have some killer prices. You should look at the AGPrs49.... you wouldnt even need and external cause it comes internally gated! you can push it way harder than a 16g.
