Supra Sidemount and fuel pump any good?

the supra sidemounts work pretty damn good. My buddy is running 11.7's with a supra sidemount.

It fits where the stock intercooler was... You wont be able to put the plastic cover back on though(inside the wheel well). Nothing tricky about the install... Just gotta do some custom clamping and stuff to make it connect on the bottom.

check out the supraforums and ask them

I tried to do the Supra sidemount, and it didnt go to well. On the test run going 100, I hit a bump and the IC ripped out because it hung down a little lower then the stock IC. I would def reccomend it but I dont feel like going through all the #@%#@%#@%#@% again. I think I am just going to buy the dejon IC that just came out.

say you get the supra sidemount in there with straightest possible piping. How much better than stock 1G IC is it? Is there numbers somewhere for this?
And how much better would a frontmount be than that?

by looking at those pictures, that thing looks to be about 16 to 18 inches in width, about 10 inches in height, and about 8 inches in depth so thats

Supra SMIC $200
16x10x8 = 1280 Cubic Inches

Apexi GTR FMIC $1000+
24x10.8x3 = 777.6 Cubic Inches

Spearco 2-205 $500+??
24x13.04x3.5 = 1095.6 Cubic Inches

now a FMIC is going to have the higher flowrate advantage due to the mounting location and the surface area they use up compared to a side mount....

but for $200 this is a VERY good upgrade... im sure this intercooler could handle the stage 2 400hp, easy and a bit less than 500hp anyone else have any ideas?

If you cant mount the plastic piece over the supra unit when you mount it, isnt debris a concern? I would be pretty worried about my brand new $200 SMIC getting f***ed up by rocks right away... Is there some other way to cover it?

your specs are wrong on the supra, i know i have measured it, also the specs are wrong on the gtr. i know that is the apex-i specs but they lie. i have one and measured it, all their specs are about an inch off if remember correctly i took pics and can post them if needed. o and the stock sidemount on supras is good for right around 450hp.

I had mine on for quite sometime and no problems!
I had a 2500 DF Center. clutch, and then I installed the Supra SMIC and my clutch went in about 15min. I got the 2600 ACT clutch and went and got the 317WHP in my sig.
I installed mine differently then I had seen on the net links.
Put it in stock location ( no beating the fender in ), used stainless pipe strap to connect to stock points, I flipped my lower intercooler pipe and it put it at the same height as the SSMIC, got a mandrel pipe from EIP 2.25 ( 90 degree bend, 6" each way in length and cut it to size during install ) bought all Thermal Flex couplers 2 reducers 2.5 to 2.25 (from SSMIC to piping) and the rest was 2.25 Thermal couplers and finally all Tbolt clamps.
Massive difference in power in 4th gear, never stopped pulling llike a MOFO!!!!
Piping hung a touch below front spoiler.......not bad at all.
Until I lowered my car and ten minutes into my first ride with it lowered and BBBOOOOMMMMM, " R.I.P SSMIC " , I loved that thing!!!!!!! I highly recommend it to anyone thats not dropped.
I'm not quite sure what to do with it now.........

but what about the fact that there is no spalsh gaurd there anymore and it is located so close to the wheel. Doesnt it get full of #@%#@%#@%#@% all of the time, and leave a nasty looking hole in the right front wheel well?
