dumping out on a stock t25???

hey i love that noise sounds intiminating can i dump out on a stock turbo. What is it. i just buy that special o2 housing and i hook up my delta wastegate on to it?? and open my stock wastegate flapper?? Is this possible? Im new at this but some eclipse pulled on me with this noise and loved it ever since might upgrad turbo later on but i want to know if its possible with my stock turbo. Thanks guys!!

I think your talking about an o2 housing with a dump tube mod. You can buy these from a couple of shops or make it yourself. The new 02 housing with a dump mod will fit on your stock turbo.


That being said, I had one of these on my car for a short time. It was so loud I couldn't really hear my stereo. I took it off a month later and just got a ported 02 housing.

so i can have it without having a wastegate?? just putting that o2 sensor on?? Is it going to be like open downpipe?? Or will i put the delta gate on?? And how do set my boost im not sure what spring my delta has. Will i need to have a boost controller? im on aol ---trdracing11--

ooooooooooohhhh..... after like 5 hours of research i finally got it.. let me know if im right. I can buy a o2 housing with external dump that just throws my stock wastegates air out, without a wastegate to it right. and this helps out with creep and lag!! and or i can have it with a external wastegate. So the answer to my questions is yes??? I can run it on my stock turbo just for noise right?? And less lag!!!! I think i finally got it let me know guys. This was actually a newbie ?.

just replace your stock o2 sensor housing with the dump tube housing...that's it. no other mods are necessary.

word of experience here: if you have the basic mods (intake, exhaust, boost controller, etc.), the T25 will spool VERY quickly, causing your car to "dump" about 80% of the time you are driving it (or at least it seems that way). this can get annoying. also when i was dumping with my T25, i actually lost power.

for what it's worth, i kept my external dump o2 housing for this spring, when i will be installing it on a big 16g turbo. this turbo is larger, so i will likey GAIN power by using this housing. also, larger turbos spool more slowly, so it will not be dumping quite as much. and finally, mitsu turbos are infamous for boost creep, which an external dump does a very good job of eliminating (or at least minimizing).

There were 2 things I like about having a dump tube, it felt a little faster on the freeway

You lost power?? Im trying it and if i dont lke it im taking it off right away. I have plans to upgrade turbo just not right now. im sure by keeping the rpms down it wont be to loud. I think ricers are louder with their fart cans!!!

Trust me, the moment the waste gate opens, it sounds louder and uglier than a motorcycle. I remembered another time just now when I was at a stoplight with a impala SS that had some huge rims and a stereo that I could hear must of been big; I raced him at the light and the moment my wastegate opened he looked at me and got mad. He was like "you motha foker". I guess it was pretty loud in his ear since were were side by side and his window was down.

I guess it might be hard to imagine if you havent heard it in person, but it is tooo loud.

I understand you dont like the way hondas sound, I garentee this mod will make your car sound worse. IMO.

Correct me if I am wrong but it Sounds like you are just getting started with DSMs. Have you heard our car with full 3in exhaust, ? It souds cool, even v8 guys dont mind it, or at least the ones I know.

As far as loosing power, that was not my experience but I can see how it can happen.

nah i have 3 inch dp and cat back all the way back already its not to loaad i have heard this sound several timea already. The first time i fell in love was in santa barbara when i got a ride on one of our members Matt. in his white gsx. man i loved tha Sh!t!!! i cant picture myself getting anoyed by the sound anytime soon. Thats just my opinion.Right now my mods include... intake, 3 inch dp 3inch cat back,2 1/2 upper and lower icp w/ type s and walbro 190 fp. waiting for my mbc. to run a steady 14 pounds. Right now my car spikes up to like 16, 17 and goes down to steady 12 13 psi. Maybe This mod will help me out.

I am NOT trying to start an argument here. But, when I put the 02 dump on my car I felt a noticable gain in freeway speed. My girlfriend mentioned how my car seemed a little faster, then my dad drove my car and said the same thing.

Now I dont have any numbers to prove it actually was faster, but the car definately felt a little better on the freeway.. well.. once my ears stopped ringing from the noise.

I forgot to mention, everybody thought something was wrong with my car with the dump on. Even my car friends told me the car sounded like SH!T.

well i just got my o2 housing dumpo on and its really loud the thing is that the pipe is just off the housing you think it quiets down if i exted the pipe longer and slanting it towards the back of the car instead on straight down?? by the way no more boost creep!!!!
