I am 99% buying an AGP RS49 50 trim. They are a bit newer than the FP and PTE so not sure if the search is good enough for this.
I have supporting mods ,fic 650s,supra tt pump,afpr,fuel pressure guage,n1 catback ,n1 downpipe,maft.

Most interested in hearing if you have creep issues with their internal wastegate option.

I bought an evo exhaust manifold and am going wtih either custom SS tubular type o2 or external wastegate with dump back into the o2 housing.I assume no creep worries with the external gate.I was also thinking since the evo manifold is pretty big already and the ss o2 also mabye could not bother with any additional porting.

Thanks in advance guys.

Havnet used one but I looked at them and thats what I plan on buying as well. I am going to get the internal wg.

unfortunately i can't comment on that actual turbo either....

But I do have an RS60 in hand waiting to go on and I can say the quality looks top notch, they said it would take a week to put together and ship as they had a few orders ahead of me. It took a week to ship and showed up a couple days before they estimated. Wow a shop that met their prediction:confused:

Anyway, I can say so far I have had nothing but a great experience w/ them and i hope it only gets better:D

I ordered mine yesterday and think about a week it should be here.
I got it polished what the heck.I also changed order to internal wastegate after reading some other posts about Victory taking forever to ship his ,not sure whats up with that.
I ordered an evo 02 for now,non ported ,hopefully that will be enough not to creep or else guess just have to go external later on.We will see.

It was kinda tempting to order the bigger Rs60 or RS65 since they are the same price but really want a good pump gas fairly quick spooling around town and occasional road trip turbWTF!!ne trip to track will be the last if it hits under 11.99.No rollbar for my talon thank you very much.

Also I figure if still want a bit more snap throw in some nice hks cams and maybe a 75 shot. And figure maybe the 50 trim will be a bit kinder to other parts in the car.I hope my 92 has the 4 bolt rear, haven't really checked yet.

I also would like some opinions/reviews on the RS49 turbo. I emailed AGP the other day and they said that with my goals, this turbo would be perfect. Plus it's only 849 bux base price. Thanks.

WoW:laugh: this is one popular turbo because i am gonna order one with the 90 degree weld, internal wastegated, and polished. I was thinking about getting a EVO3 o2 housing but that 02 housing has a slightly different angle from the regular 2G o2 housing. That is why when you order the a EVO 16G they highly recommend to get EVO o2 housing with it so it will bolt right on or you will have to bend you downpipe. So i was searching the web and i found a site that has a 2.5" SS tubular 02 for $285.

I am almost ready to install mine.I went with evo 02 and evo exhaust manifold ,internal gate..polished..elbow..I heard the evo o2 housing will still bolt up to my n1 downpipe.

So maybe have a review in a week or so.

Will I be able to pull off running the RS49 with my 2.5 inch tubular o2 with dump and a 2G manifold? Cheapest place to buy an external gate? Thanks.

Kevin

Think I read some guy with o2 dump had creep problems on the external.I was going to go with o2 wastegate from victory but head too many bad things about those guys on the boards.I should have maybe waited a bit and then got the full kit from agp with exhuast gate and their o2..everything would have fit nice..no grinding on the exh man and the o2 would bolt up perfect. Now may still have to do this later on but as long as I can run 19psi or so on the street with no creeping much past that should be ok.Crossing my fingers..

We put 38mm waste gate flappers in our RS turbos so creep is pretty much a non-issue. I would always recommend that if you can afford to, just pass on the hybrid turbos and go for our full Garrett kit. It's just better in every way, and if you add up what a ported manifold costs and an evo o2 housing and the oil lines etc. it's pretty close to the price of the full Garrett kit.

I am looking at the rs49 aswell, i had the rs65, but it was bigger than i wanted. I am not sure weather to get the internal gate on the 49 or external, are you saying that there will be no creep issues on that turbo with a 3inch o2 eliminator exhaust. I would have gone with the full kit, but i have the o2 eliminator setup so the exhaust side wouldn't bolt up to my exhaust.

AHP has tubular O2 housings for around 200. 122performance has them for as low as $160 (dumped) and $190(routed back into the exhaust stream). Joe P. now makes O2 housings for as low as $160(dumped) as well. Just so you know.
