sorry about that...my comp froze right after i clicked on submit...
anyways...
i have a 92 eclipse 1.8 and yes its really slow. my sister bought the car new in 92 and gave it to me 2 years ago and i fell in love with it. its in perfect condition and i dont not want to get rid of it or buy anything else. id like to put a 4g63 turbo engine in it and im wondering what all ill need to do the swap...ive asked this before and all i got was "sell it and get a turbo awd" i want to do this swap...i know it will be alot of work but who doesnt like working on their dsm?

parts that i know i need...
engine and turbo
5spd transmission, transaxles, clutch, flywheel
ECU, wiring harness, ignition system
motormounts, cross member
full exhaust, intake and stock IC and piping
fuel system (not sure what all has to be swaped)
not sure about the front brakes and suspension

what can i use off a 1g gsx?

heres a link to the engine im thinking about...has any1 ever ordered from ard before?

thanks for any help

im doin the same swap with my 1.8 eclipse. i got everything rounded up to do it now. looks like u know what all u need. u do need a turbo fuel pump tho, the stock 1.8 one wont provide enuff fuel. u can use the 1.8 5 speed tranny. i dont know if a non turbo tranny is any stronger/weaker than a turbo one but the turbo clutch is bigger so thats the only thing i see that is stronger vs the non turbo tranny. i got some turbo axles and the spline count is the same as my non turbo axles. u just need a 2.0 non turbo flywheel and clutch kit(perferably a hd upgraded one) that will save u some $$ rather than buying a turbo tranny, axles and clutch kit. if u can get a complete parts car then ull have everything ull need.
