Where should I set my ignition timing at?
I have it at about 5 btdc, but it still seems like it is pulling the timing in upper RPMs and it is not really overheating the motor, but making the exhaust manifold red freakin hot, which cant be good for the new turbo.
Should i retard it farther back, or is there another problem?
LIke I said, the motor pulls good until about 3500 then it lags and i lose power...like, a lot of power. Its a fresh motor with the rings and all seated well, my compression test is 131 all 4 cyl., I have lower comp pistons in, Im assuming thats why the numbers are lower than is in my Haynes manual.
