Ok so now I'm set for a sweet ETE32 but I'm really an idiot in mechanics and thing like that...

Any of the guys would like to help my out of this by telling me what mods should I buy to balance it to a day-to-day fun drive??

And, please, tell me how much it'd be as well.

This is something that should be done buy you researching. If your set on an ete32 than you will need may supporting mods to run it reliably. Prices are different everywhere and the internet is perfect for finding the cheapest one. Before you buy yourr turbo make sure you go in steps, preferably by some sort of tuning guide. You will need at leist: fuel pump, 550 (probably bigger) injectors, afc, FMIC, boost and egt gauges, exhaust, intake all piping, bov and Im sure someone else will jump on me for not mentioning something.

Its a big step, so take your time. I definetly recommend going in steps though, so you can learn and see how the car reacts to each mod. Good luck...

I could tell you exactly step by step how to set your car up and make it FAST, but you'd never spend the money on the right stuff. If you have a stock car, and are already looking at a turbo upgrade, you are already on the wrong path. No flame, just calling it like it is. Not to toot my own horn, but I could recommend a setup to anybody, any power level; but you have to be willing to spend the money in the right places, and do the work the right way (and in the right damn order!)

Regards,

NosLaser,

Should I be sticking to the Tuning guides on the web?

It's confusing as well as some websites say A should be done first while some say forget it...

I'm set for some intake and exhaust upgrades and other accompanies, and I've the models in mind!!

Though, the tricky pt. is whether which turbo I'm to choose......

Fast street car

16g. Period.

They have went 11's, near 120mph traps, and spool pretty damn nice.

Most of the fast guys, say they wish they never would have went "all-out" and went with big turbo's and losing streetability and all that. 16g is the ultimate setup IMO, not a ton of mods needed.

If I could do it all over again, I would maximize it completely and leave the motor stock.

I have seen the tuning guide on this site and it is a good start. I like the one on Buschur's site too. Aslan is right, you have a bunch of stuff before bolting on that turbo. I have that turbo and it has been sitting on my kitchen table for 6 months now. I hope to be bolting it on in the next two weeks, but I still lack a few mods to take full advantage of it. FMIC and injectors is what I lack. I will be running it at 8-10 psi until I can get some 660's and a FMIC installed. In time......

It is good that you have a bigger turbo in mind.. That will tell you what you need to get to support it in the future. You need to get everything else first then the turbo last.

I so you will need a full 3" exhaust with that turbo instead of maybe a 2.5" DP and a 3" catback. As far as injectors I would recommend the 650cc ones. That is just a start. Just make sure that the supporting mods that you buy FIRST are enough to support the end goal.. The ETE32.

I should be okay with the mandrel bent 2.5" DP and 3" test pipe, 3" catback for a while. I am sure I could pick up a little going with a 3" DP, but 2.5" has gone into the 11's I know (possibly even a pressbent variety). I have the VPE O2 eliminator to (which I further ported and gasket matched :D). It is definitely larger than the ported 1G I had on there. Honestly, I'll probably run this setup for a while and then upgrade to a 3" later down the road. VPE makes a O2 housing that matches the 3" DP too--it is a beautiful piece.

I am definitely jumping to the 650's (actually the Holley's I am going to use are 65 lbs/hr, which works out to 680). My buddy with a 16G did the 550 upgrade and once he really started boosting up to 22 psi or so (with water injection and pump gas), he was hitting fuel cut--and he was always on the ragged edge. It would have been nice to throw a little more fuel in there, but there wasn't any left.

TO get the best feel out of an ETE32 a 3" o2 elimintor works the best. I have a friend that was running a 2.5" DP and was getting spool around 3800-4000 rpms (bolt-on mods.. FMIC. ECT..) He got a 3" O2 eliminator now getting full spool and better transition to boost at 3500. It will work with a 2.5"!! Just saying it will be happier with a 3".
