No gasket btw T.B. ELBOW and TB?

I know i posted this before and the responses i got said that i needed to get a new gasket for my upper IC pipe where it meets the throttle body because the ic pipe replaces the stock elbow. This made sense to me cause i thought theres no way it could be a metal to metal connection. I would think that this wouldnt seal tight and allow for a leak. Well to my surprise i go to my local mitsu dealer to get a new gasket. I bring the pipe and they tell me theres no gasket present in the stock set up. The mechanic told me that the stock TB elbow has no gasket between it and the throttle body. Its actually a metal to metal connection according to him. Is he right? i guess i will find out when i take it off but i would like to have the parts available before i start the job. If there is a gasket where can i get one to seal the damn thing and what would the part number/name be? Thanks guys. This is turning into a huge project for something so simple.

There is no gasket on the 2G. Both pieces are machined true and it will not leak. However, there is a gasket between the TB and intake manifold. If you remove it, make sure you get it back on correctly. I have the HRC upper IC pipe that replaces the elbow and no leaks.

I have the Greddy IC pipe and it does not repalce the elbow. But I have removed and replaced the elbow before and no leaks.
