I'm looking to run low 12's .......let me know where you think this setup will take me or If I'm lacking in any areas
 
If your going to put all that in your car and you have AWD if you can't run 12's im going to kick you in the balls.. 12's have been achived on the stock turbo. I think that 18G sucks and would have picked another turbo but whatever floats your boat. if your just going for 12's you don't need the cams , intake mani or the n2o thats a lil over kill im sure. but i'd throw on some shocks, and springs. i have seen awd dsm's with alot less mods then u running your goal.
 
Actually I made a mistake...I my goal is to rech mid to high 11's with the setup I have now. My bad
 
scratch off the nitrous, msd, intake manifold and the 18g.

if u want just low 12s, get a 20g. Research more on the 18g and ull discover why most either opt for a 16 or a 20 rather than 18g. Ive read of one person running one though and he seemed to like it. if u want externally gated go ahead and keep the tial on there but if u decide to go internally gated ull save a lil bit of money.

nitrous isn't needed to get to 12s unless u want to be cool and say you have "nawwwwz".

the intake manifold isn't necc. IMHO. Most ppl who buy SMIM have already got all the "other mods" and are just rounding off whats left to buy. Not to start things off with. Also its more directed towards upper RPM range and i dont see a raised redline mod on the list.

IMO, with the mods u listed and some decent driving and tuning, u should be able to get ur goal.

weight reduction can help a great deal as well if ur car isn't going to be a daily driver or if u dont really care for the creature comforts much. Will u be using race gas or will this car be a pump gas racer?

Good luck with ur setup. As with whatever advice u ask for, if u already have ur mind set on something, whatever anyone else tells u is pointless.

My personal advice, hold your money for 2 months. The reason i say hold ur money is ull probably read (i dont know how much u researched but im assuming since u registered 3 months ago, it isn't as much) about ur options more and ull simplify ur setup and also read about others experiences with the stuff ur choosing. Plus if u buy all this stuff and aren't too ready for the task at hand, ull be one PO'd person with alot of cool parts in ur garage. Look for a thread "12s for 2500" or something to that effect.

**edit** took a while to respond and saw u posted about 11s. The 20g will make more sense then a 18g. pz
 
I actually to be honest with you ....I really don't know what turbo I have...it's in tdo5h housing but the compressor inlet is huge....I can fit a soda can in the inlet....also the compressor wheel is large too. The guy I got it form said it was a 20g but..the housing is a tdo5h housing. I traded him my brand new big 16g for it. This guy had this turbo installed on bone stock laser without any mods ...not even free mods....here's a pic.....

:thumbdown Man your story keeps on changing, get the lie straight then say it, who cares if you got an 18g. Now you know you would be better off with a 20g just get it swaped and dont lie and say you actually have a 20g not an 18g that you made a mistake.:mad:
