I was just wonderin, what is one of the better intercooler kits to buy. I've heard Greddy is pretty descent but i dont know if the person really knew what they were talkin about haha... any help would be greatful!

the IRC uses the 2-216 spearco core. a lot the fast guys use this core and make gobs of power with it. i'm leaning towards replacing my smashed up small greddy w/ this.

The Spearco Intercoolers have better flow and cooling properties that any others on the market....That is why most competitors use them.

If you race 2 DSM's with roughly the same mods at the same time 1 with a big Greddy and 1 with a Spearco and then touch the intercooler with your hands the Spearco intercooler will be cooler to the touch than the Greddy. (At least that is what I have been told)

Victory perfomance has jsut released theirs. It is a featured product at the top of the page. I should be worth checking out.

victory performance, just released theres... think about that though.. someone just now started making them vs someone whos been making them a long time.....

my friends builds intercoolers and he uses spearco cores.. BY FAR the best choice, besides greddy doesnt let you fax in the size for a custom intercooler...

with spearco you can goto they're site and fax them the measurments and they will build you custom intercoolers....

MASSIVE ones if u need!

http://tjn115.tripod.com/icweb.htm <~~~~~ i found this guy on E-Bay he makes some nice intercoolers and there only 300.00 and presure tested at 28psi for 10 mins ....so if you bid on one maybe get one cheeper im going to get one from him just saveing up some extra scrach for my T-28

Go with Indy Race Cores like Blitz said. My buddy has one with a small 16g and he runs mid to low 12s and his friends that run 10s have them.

I use the HRC FMIC. More efficient than the Greddy or Apexi. And attaches to the car in a much better way,(Uses cast brackets welde right to the sides of the end tanks)

do you have pics of it w/ the bumper off? is the flow from side to side? or does it enter and exit on the same side?

Inlet and outlet are on the same side, with the crossover integrated into the bottom of the core. This is a pic of a 420A with it(I dont have pics of mine on the computer), but it gives you an idea.

Those IC's are CRAP. All he does is find Ford Powestroke IC's and cut em up. Maybe it might do some good on a Honduh, but come on, 2 inches thick? Might as well buy a POS Starion IC.

I'm running the Big GReddy FMIC. For some extra cooling I'm running a Nitrous Express N-ter cooler chiller.

I say IRC too. I don't have mine installed yet but the craftsman ship with which it was built appears extremely high. I can't wait to install this thing.

I think the IRC "race" core is the largest and best IC one could get for street use as far as having the maximum cooling capabilities(for turbo and intake charge) without overheating. Buschur makes an actual "race" one as well but it is fookin huge OMG and more money than IRC's "race" core! Definately not good for daily driving IMO.

IRC's race core and buschur's race core both use the spearco 2-216 core I believe. I'll probably end up getting a 2-216 w/ short routed piping for my 2g just cuz of it's proven track record. I won't have to worry about upgrading later w/ that thing.
