Crower Cams?

Has anyone used these cams? I may be able to pick them up for around $300... is that a good deal? I know everyone says HKS 264/272's but how do these compare? Thanks guys!

iirc the crowers don't make nearly as much power as the hks. correct me if im wrong?

They do if you have them indexed properly with a cam indexing tool. You show me a guy who can install these properly and has the know how to index a cam properly and I'll show you 50 guys with HKS cams that are "on-center" and require no indexing.

Crower's shit is good, just make sure you have an equally good mechanic with the proper tools to install them.. If you just install them like you do an HKS cam then you will definately not get the power potential from them at all. I have used web's on a lot of Honda's and after indexing we find them to be out 6-10deg on average, some lower some higher. This is a lot to be out on a cam and you can see what that would do to power production.

HKS cams are an easy install, what you spend on the part you save on the install.

Crower's been one of the top three or five cam grinders for many decades. I have no firsthand information about their DSM products, but it's a good company.

Ask GTM about cam timing. He'll type your eyes out with details.
