Nitrous Intercooler Chillers

I have an NX Ntercooler and did not see any gain by using it at all.

I did not get the chance to use it on a really hot day where my performance would have been reduced from the heat, but on a regular 75-80deg day partly cloudy with 50-60% humidity I did not notice any gain what-so-ever using it.

NX is based in Texas and they reported a 53whp gain on a turbo honda making 450whp so I can see the gain there in the summer where 100+ is the norm, but anywhere where you get normal weather I just can't see it helping that much. I didn't for me.

That a lot of money to just spray it onthe in tercooler. Unless you can get the nitruos for almost free.

im thinking of makeing one out of like Co2 and useing ss braided line, the tank i got, ill use a 20oz paintball tank, and 3 cuirular spray jets to spray on the stock smic, ne way it would be a low budget thing, i just want to know if itll yeald ne hp before i waste my time

thats what im saying if i can manufacture something for like 50 bucks that does the same thing, ijust dont wanna waste my 50 bucks and my time tryin if i dont get any yeald out of it,

A waste of money IMHO. Just get an effecient Front Mount. I made one for $25 and never even used it. Just wanted to see if I could do it. (Used mostly old paintball supplies)

Some of the guys on the evo boards were showing a 38-40whp gain on back dyno runs. Some used Co2 some used N20. Also you can get the Nitrous express system for under 400 you just have to look around.

the formula is 1 horse power for evey 8 degree drop in air charge, i made my own, used two 20oz co2 bottles, remote bottle opener and a nitrous purge valve, with a peice of 3/8 metal brake line and a brass T with braded nitrous lines, drill mad wholes in the brake line, kinda facing the intercooler, and hit that purge valve till the intercoolers white (while at a stock lightor drag strip) looks just like the ones you can buy for a few hundred, i modeled mine after a picture os a skyline on the cover of super street, i cant see using nitous when c02 is $1 for both my tanks, i have the real bottle too, and thats $3-$5 per lb So0o0o0o

i dont understand why you'd spray nitrous when you can spray co2 and get similar results.

I just picked up the nitrous express one for really cheap. Im debating weather or not to use it or sell it? Seems like a good idea, fill it with co2 and its really cheap to use. jsut the same results.

I want to get the nx one. I don't think it will do anything on a normal day just cruisin around but if you are constantly getting on the gas or doing back to back passes at the track I think it will help a lot.
