Like i said in the title i have built up the 6 bolt as a 90 year with the air cooled oil cooler, i have the 90 oil pump with case and oil filter housing but i dont see the holes for the 2 bango bolts that come off the end of the oil cooler, where do they go? If anybody has a 1990 could they take a look and trace the oil cooler lines back and tell me where they bolt up thanks. And if anybody is wondering why i am doing this it is because i already had a 90 oil cooler and wanted to use that, on my slowboy racing block.

Is a good link showing an Oil Filter Housing - the port on the left - the forward port on the car - is the port that's controlled by the Low Oil Temp Oil Cooler Shutoff Valve - of course whether you stopped the oil from going IN the Cooler - or OUT the Cooler - it's still stopped. That port on the left is concentric with the center of the Filter so I'd guess that oil is also from the Filter - Oil goes in the edge of the Filter & out the center.

the oil filter adapter that was sent to me was supposed to be a 90, but it does not have those ports on it. I will check again. DAMN i hope i dont have to get something else that is all i need another delay

That may be a pic of a 7-Bolt Housing in that link if you read the thread - If yours doesn't have those ports it may be a N/T Oil Filter Housing, & may or may not be a '90. My 91 Oil Filter Housing has those ports in different places & has no Low Oil Temp Oil Cooler Cutoff Valve - but in warmer climates like S.C. & Florida it's a common opinion that is not a problem - Mine came with a Water Cooler of course but I canned that & hooked my Air to Oil Cooler up to my 91 Housing. I would think you need the Low Oil Temp Valve so beware of a 91 Housing like mine that has the ports & no Low Oil Temp Valve. They all have the relief valve that actually determines what your Oil Pressure is as best I know...

Those 90 Turbo Oil Filter Housings are available from our Vendors. - I wanna say around $100.00

Looks like he has his Stainless Turbo Oil Supply line on the "spare" port so we know that's a supply port & not a Suction port - the Oil Cooler lines are on the other 2 "big" ports - the port in the foreground is controlled by the Low Oil Temp Oil Cooler Shutoff valve which is that big brass Acorn Nut looking thing at the bottom of the pic. Great pic!

Not to resurrect an old thread, but I just happened upon this while searching (hey, I get points for that don't I? :) ).

I noticed in that last picture that you have the oil supply line attached to the UPPER port in that picture. I just bought the same housing for my 2G and it looks like the filtered port is the LOWER one. Just wondered where you heard to hook it up like that.

Thanks!

the 90 oil pump housing is diffrent from any other yr thats the reason why your 2g is diffrent for the oil supply line. You are corrrect the corrent supply port on the 2gs is the lower port.

Cool thanks guys. It must have been late last night and I was just going by his car's description ('96 GS-T). I didn't see the part about the '90 motor in there.

Thanks again! :)
