Hey fellas! how's it going. Anyways I just recieved my order from RnR and i just want to take this time to say that they did a hell of a job and they are trully proffesionals. I ordered a 3'' o2 housing with and external wastegate flange welded on the o2 pipe and a 3'' downpipe and it looks great,but my question is a buddy of mine is selling his 20g with a tubular manifold with a 35mm wastegate flange on the #4 runner and he is asking for $1300 it looks in good condition and he says he ran low 12's with it but i want to know if i really need that big of a turbo right now?Im Fwd by the way. Or should i keep saving up and just get me a new 20g or a 50 trim or get me a big 16g right now and just work on learning how to launch since the 16g is a quick spooler and i will get mad tires spin and some other friends say get the 20g since its a little laggy and i really need it being Fwd. As of right now im still undicided so any info will be greatly appriciated.What do u guys think?Any of u guys know of any good deals?Thanks fellas!
 
$1300 for a used 20g/tubular manifold. Dont buy that.

For $1650 you can have a brand new tubular manifold, tial wastegate, dumptube, 2.5" o2 housing, ss oil feed and drain lines, and a garret 50trim turbo from www.agpturbo.com

Since you are FWD definately go for something bigger, you dont want fast spoolup or you will be fighting for traction all the time. Maybe even get a 60-1 or 56trim from AGP.
 
Well that depends.....what are your goals? If you are looking at 13s(drag wise), a B16G and a LSD will do just fine. But if you are looking at 12s......I highly suggest to NOT get a B16g(which was my mistake). Also don't pay 8,9,1000 bucks on the dinosaur 20G when you can get a PTE 50/56 trim or the equivalent AGP RS49/60(depending on where you live) for less, with a hell of alot more potential. :thumb:
 
I was hoping to get into the mid 12's on an Evo III 16G and a bunch of supporting mods. I hope I'm not being to optomistic ( cue for someone to dispell my fears :) )

The EVO III is looking like a nice turbo, but you'd have to push it pretty hard and have full supporting mods to do mid 12's on FWD, at least on street tires. If you get slicks then it's possible.

I had a Big 16g on FWD with full supporting mods, LSD, and drag radials and I just touched a 12. 12.97 to be exact, but that was the only time I got a 12. I got a bunch of 13.0 and 13.1 timeslips. The next upgrade I did after I hit that 12 was to get an AWD.

I used to have a 90 AWD that ran mid 12s on its 14b, but it CW'd ( bad rebuild ) and I had to get the only DSM for sale at the time ( a 95 FWD turbo ). Low 13s would make me competitive on the street, and I don't drag much after the AWD left me. :cry: I'll probably go Evo III 16G and nitrous to get me into the 12s ( on street tires ). I would think that the B16G is going to go the way of the dodo once people realize how good the Evo III 16G is. :thumb:
