Yes, I know this might have been talked about before, but I have some questions.

I found both a 95 AWD rolling chassis, and a 91 Eclipse AWD.

The 95 has no motor, and I intened to put in the 1G 6-bolt. I was wondering, what wiring harness do I use? Will the interior (dashboard) wiring harness work with the 1G engine wiring harness and 1G ECU?

Will the AWD trans from the 1G bolt onto the 2G? Transfercase? Rear differential?

Are the suspension parts similar/same between the two generations?

Thanks

If your 2g still has it's wiring harness then you don't change a thing in that respect. The drivers side motor mount has to be modified and the 1g cam sensor has to be wired in. Do you have all the motor mounts for the 2g? If not you need them. 1g mounts will not work. This link will tell you everything you need to know on the motor end:

No need to mess with any interior wiring.

The transmission and t-case are all for the donor car so of course they bolt up to each other, but you do need those 2g mounts. One drivers side motor mount, one passenger side tranny mount, and two roll stop mounts located on the front and rear of the tranny. For the rear diff. you also need to take the "cups" that the rear shafts connect to rear tires with. 2g's have 4 bolt rears so you can either convert it or hunt for a 4-bolt rear-end which is the last one you will ever buy (very strong).

The only thing I am uncertain on is the prop shaft going to the rear diff., I am not sure if they are different between 1g and 2g.

The suspensions are completely different between the two.

Holla' with any more questions. :talon: :dsm: :laser:
