intake temps

whats a good intake temp and is their a cheaper way to check it, after the intercooler???

You can buy a inside out side temp gage front walmart. Use 3m tape to the inside of your intake pipe. Then put the read out gauge in the car.
Under $15 for a good one.

I have no idea how that would work. However a more conventional way would be to buy an intake temperature gauge. tapeing stuff in a high pressue enviroment may not be a good idea

i havent ever seen any for sale jdmawd where you get yours? and whats an ideal temp?

yes i belive (at least with drag cars) the ideal conditions are a red hot block and a ice cold intake, the lower the better

I have a *REAL* cold air intake, so my temps are much lower than most. I have heard of temps as high as 30* over ambient. I have never seen anything more than 10-15 over ambient.
