You can buy a inside out side temp gage front walmart. Use 3m tape to the inside of your intake pipe. Then put the read out gauge in the car.
Under $15 for a good one.

I have no idea how that would work. However a more conventional way would be to buy an intake temperature gauge. tapeing stuff in a high pressue enviroment may not be a good idea

yes i belive (at least with drag cars) the ideal conditions are a red hot block and a ice cold intake, the lower the better
