I have a 93 3000gt vr4 that I have been building for the last several years, and since I am considering a turbo upgrade using turbos that are popular with dsm's, I felt I should ask you all for your thoughts.
I am currently running twin td05 18g's, and am considering either 20g's or maybe twin greens, or other possible choices.
My question is, how do you think those turbos will work in my application, considering I need two, and each will be fed by only 1.5 liters of displacement, rather than 2 liters, as in the 4g63?
There have been others who have gone the twin 20g route, with good success, but I am more concerned with getting the big top end power with quick spool characteristics, yet I would like to stay internally gated, and use the mitsubishi bolt on turbine housing, unless there is a better hybrid alternative.
I've visited most of the shop sites, so I am familiar with most of the current offerings.
I am sure this question will get your minds turning.
Thanks in advance for any info.

How do you like the 18G's? Because if you go bigger you will trade low end power and early spool up for big top end power.

IMHO I think the 20G would be a small step up from the 18G. Are you looking for a big upgrade?

I like the 18g's, but I'd trade a bit more lag for a stronger top end pull.
A couple of cars have trapped in the high 120's to low 130's on 20g's,
which would make me very happy.
I don't plan to beat the car too hard out of the hole, so I'll be happy with low 11's at 125+.
My hope is to keep up on the highway with a few pretty crazy Supras in my area, one of which traps damn near 140mph!

Probably go with a good ported internally gated 20g, 7cm.
I saw that Victory Performance has the 50trim, but I might prefer the ease of installation of the Mitsubishi housing.

A tdo6 20g is a huge upgrade over an 18g....were talking ~10 MPH in the qaurter at the fast end of the scale. I would say it would make you happy, and they definitley are a bit more responsive then the PTE style 50 trims.
