putting my gm maft setup on

was up guys i am putting my gm maft setup on my car right now and just wondering once i put this thing on will i have to retune my afc or could i leave it the way it is. i just wanna leave the gm mas at 000 or to the 2g air flow. also does anyone have a site that shows me the wire install.

if you keep it at 000 wouldn't it be like the stock maf?

well i heard that at 00 it still isnt the same, that u have to tune it the get it to the 2g mas. not sure though

once you set the dipswitches correctly i believe you can get it to a stock setting and keep the tuning on your s-afc.

Look at how much of a restriction the stock maf has; then look at how the GMMAF practically has none. Since there is so much less of a restriction, the new MAF will flow much more air than the stock one. So if you set it at 000 and hope that it will work like a stock maf you might run into a great deal of problems from being too lean. Just read the instructions. I have heard of people setting up the MAFT correctly using the instructions while zeroing out the AFC.

First and foremost though, make sure you have it installed correctly. I have read of people going through absolute hell trying to get their car to run right only to find out their Barometric pressure wire wasn't wired correctly or something.

Jim, since when did you buy your MAFT setup??
