its piping is bent differently

The exhaust on the AWD has to go around the rear diff and other suspension parts that are different from the FWD. There are a few pics in the gallery that show N1 exhausts on both AWD and FWD from under the car, which helps to explain it.

could a muffler shop re bend the pipe to fit a gst?

your better of buying one or keeping the stock one its to much work to bend all the piping to fit
