hey, i wasnt sure where to post this...but some guy is selling me an eclipse, he claims its a GSX, but the door handles are black, and i know on a 2G if the door handles aree black then its an RS (nonturbo). I was just wondering if its the same on the 1g's....do the black door handles make it a gs? I havent gone and looked at the car yet, but i saw a pic...so just lemme know...the guy seems to know what hes talking about.

theres alot of threads on this...
black door handles dont mean non turbo like the second gens.

First thing I would do is lay down on the ground and look for a driveshaft and rearend. That will tell you if it is a gsx or not. Then look under the hood for a turbo to see if it is a gst.

btw, my 2g turbo has black door handles on a green car. Damn cheap plastics handles, both broke!
