New Owner Performance Questions

I am a first time 91 Eagle Talon TSI owner. I live in Ohio and found my car in Pittsburg PA, it had 48,000 miles and only had one 70 year old owner. As you can probably assume it is almost spotless. But it is also completely stock! I will have some money soon but I have no idea what to buy and what I should buy. Please give me some ideas and also maybe some free mods I should make too. I also have a question about the 16G turbo...
- Will it bolt directly on in place of the old turbo?
- How much boost can I push out of it with just the turbo nothing else?
- Do you need to buy anything besides the turbo for it to work with the car?
- Do I have a boost control on my car?
- If yes were is it?
- Do I need a different one?

-The small 16g will bolt directly on, not sure about the big 16g tho.
-Not sure. I think its up to like 400horses or so tho.
-Some sort of boost control (mbc is the cheapest) and an aftermarket boost gauge, the stock one sucks balls.

Before you go getting a 16g you should try tuning your stock turbo and buying the necessary stuff for it, exhaust, boost controller, ect....

Thread will be moved to the General/Newb forum since you are new and looking for basic mods at this time.

Before you do anything, Change your tranny fluid, xcase fluid, and rear end fluid. Running new fluid through your brake lines may be a good idea too. Just because the car is 12-13 years old and may have never had stuff like this done because of the low mileage. But things to get bad with age also. Take a look at your timing belt, that may have never been replaced, if it hasnt it is probly close to snapping and bending some valves.

Also replace things like the PCV valve, dipstick (so it doesnt blow out), and fuel filter.
