Stock B.O.V.

I want to make my stock BOV louder... My situation is.. I have a hose going between my BOV and my Air Filter, now if I remove the hose, and rev my car up a little bit it idles so low it dies. Now I have tried putting a rubber piece were the hose used to be that was connected to my air filter and it still does the same thing. Anyone got any ideas on how I can make my car not die, and remove the hose between the BOV and the airfilter so that I can make it louder?

some cars can do it and others cannot. your car cannot. the best thing to do is to get a nice BOV and a hard pipe from dejon. it will make your BOV even louder and you will also be able to hear the turbo more .

get a first gen BOV and the hard pipe intake and you will have the sound your looking for and a nice price to go with it

The 2G BOV is a piece of shit. It should be one of the first things you upgrade. I wouldn't vent the 2G BOV, as it has a tendancy to leak under vacuum. If you want to vent and sound cool, get an HKS SSQV.

Word, or a BLITZ...I love my BLITZ BOV

I'm working on a blow-through/FMIC setup and am going to run an HKS SSBOV. Its pull type design holds boost well and sounds nice.
