i have a 2g fwd and i'm trying to get some feed back on which cams i should go with.either the hks 272's or 264,272.here's my set up t3/t4 50 trim turbo, fmic, piston, rods, going with a ported 1g head,1g intake manifold, turbonetics exhaust manifold, exhaust, etc.any feed back would be helpful.thank you

go with the 264's if you still use your car as a Daily Driver because they will idle better & you can still use your stock valve springs. With 272 your gonna need the springs too:dsm:

Every set of 272's I have seen on a decently tuned car have idled fine.

ive used 264/272 and 272/272 its all the same. if you raise your idle alittle you should be fine. as for getting new springs what are you talking about you dont need them. if you want some low and top end (little of both) get the 264/272 if you want some nice top end get 272's.

as for sound and idle it feels the same and both sound alsome

my car idles at 750/850 perfectly with 272/272's magnus intake and a VPC. if that shit can idle right anything can.

Yeh...272 IMO would be better for your set-up. You have a rather large high flowing turbo and a high flowing head...this is just going to maximize your airflow. Low-end won't decrease THAT much over 264/272 combo. Maybe 100-150rpm difference in spool-up time. But your top-end will be that much better.

If you had a street set-up, like mine, then I would think about the 264/272. But I think I wan't a bigger turbo...Something like a Green...and most people with Greens go with 272s.

^^ that is a perfect post, you will love the 272's for the top end, you will lose some low end but with the 50 trim it will make up for that sense it pulls hard as hell. i had 264/272 with my 50 trim and now i have 272's, you could feel the top end pull as for the spool and low end i cant realy feel it.

you could always do something to help spool in other way's, gm maft stuf like this.
