what type of cams....

I am putting a rebuilt 6-bolt block in my 95 egale talon. I want the car to run about 400hp. Will the stock cams handle this, or will I need different cams, and what type of cams should I get to achieve this goal? Thanks!!

You can push 400HP on stock cams with a bigger turbo, or you could use a smaller turbo and add cams to attain the HP.

If you get cams go with HKS 264/272s, combined with an 18G will make 400whp with tuning and supporting mods.

If you DO decide to purchase cams, get HKS.

I would recommend getting new valves springs and titanium retainers for upgraded cams, especially if you plan on high RPMs.

cam gears are nice, help to correct timing if it gets thrown off by teh cams, but tehy arent exactly necessary with HKS cams

I use crower springs and retainers on my car.
