I bought an rnr turbo back, but there are no flanges. I have a hi-flo cat and the mix too. Can i slide these pieces together and just use some sort of band to hold everything together or is it supposed to have flanges welded on and be bolted together?

There is an inexpensive tool you can buy that slips into the pipe & expands it while you crank on a 1/2 inch ratchet - then you slip the little one into the big one...

And I imagine you want to get these pieces to fit as tightly as possible to avoid leaks? As of right now I can get the pieces together, but should the DP slip inside the cat and the cat slip inside the catback? Or does it not matter?

The DP would slip INSIDE the Cat - The Cat inside the next piece, etc, etc... If you think about it it's less likely to leak like that. And yes you don't want to over expand it but the muffler clamp crimps it anyway... you can get it welded later - You'll get a feel for it.

You want to keep exhaust leaks to a minimum. Either by tight slip fit with "U" clamps or as I did with by welding flanges to each segment and putting a gasket between the flanges. The advantage to the flange method is you can remove and re-install things at will. With the "U" clamps each pipe is deformed slightly and removal and re-instalation is more difficult.
