new turbo. modify intake? please help me out

hey i'm thinkin about getting the t3/t4 turbo kit on dsmtuners.com if i got the one the recomend would .63 housing i think. would my injen intake still fito n to it? would ay intake? is it the exact same outlet or do you ned to buy a new itake, or do you need customs fab or somthing expensive like that?

First off... get the .48 housing.... if anyone says it can't flow enough.. they lie.

Mine flowed well enough to net a 119mph trap speed with a 2g head, 2g bottom end, and a 2g intake manifold -- unported.



No, the Injen will not fit, you will need a true 3" intake pipe.

can i still use the injen filter or do i need a new one also? and will my stock intercooler pipes fit untill i have enuh money to buy a front mount?

WTF is up with all these people buying HUGE turbo's, and still running the stock SMIC?

That FMIC will do more for you than the big turbo will.

[Edit: Even if you're a 2g'er, that stock turbo does suck, but not much more than a huge turbo with stock SMIC will. Do it right, and save up until you can buy supportings mods in CORRECT ORDER, or just wait and get them all at once.]

Check that out, its a pretty good upgrade path. Save your money and do the upgrades the right way, I wouldn't even run my 16G on my stock SMIC, it is pretty crappy. Buy a FMIC, it will do a lot more than a turbo, intially of course.

the reason i need anew turbo is becasue i overboosted my turbo , soi can't just stick with the stock one

hey thanks for the website link but i already have all the stuff up untill the step with the turbo , like bov catback, intake, the onlytwo things i don't have are upper intercooler pipe and down pipe

Buy a used stock turbo or something for the time being.

You don't have NEARLY enough mods to run anything besdies a t-25 or a 14b. If you say it can't make THAT MUCH of a difference, well poo on you (hehe) cuz it does and it will.
