was up guys ive done alittle research and found out this

2-120 HP: 520 Flow: 740
2-216 HP: 530 Flow: 790

if the 120 core could hold just about anything u trow at it why do they even make the 216. right now im currantly looking for a new fmic. on my last car i had a irc and loved it but had a little problem getting hot. i think i had a leaky hg but not sure. im trying to decide if i should go with the street or race core. im looking for 11's and live in chicago so the weather does get alittle hot here. im also debating over agp kit or pro street there just about the same other then the price agp is alot cheaper. if anyone could give me some reason on what they like and or more data about the two cores that would be nice thanks.

reason for this post is because i was always into the 216 core and seen this and if i could save some money on a 120 i would but if the 120 wont do its job witch its been proven then ill go with the 216

Does AGP have any pics of their kits online? I am currently going with a prostreet 2-216 kit with no bov for 1375.00, which is only 150.00 more than the 2-120 kit with no bov, so you might as well get the 216. How much is the 2-216 kit from AGP?

The 2-120 core will have the endtanks blocking some airflow to the radiator, so I don't know if it would help any in your overheating problems.

IMO just go with a 2-216 kit and call it a day.

ya im going to go with 216, and no agp has no pics up yet but kevin is sending me some as soon has he gets them because there actully not on the market yet its just i helped him out with them and im like the first person to order one LOL but as soon as he gets them to me ill post them. also there kit is 1100 for the core, pipes any color and any flange for bov, housing and t clamps

Yes, please post up the pics.

OMG 1100.00 is a freaking awesome price for all of that. I'm definitely interested in seeing what the finished product will look like.

It looks good. Here's a little more information on our 2G FMIC setup:

-2-216 REAL Spearco core
-Short route IC piping with whatever BOV flange you like, and any color piping you would like
-Piping setup for either 1G/2G manifold OR Magnus Sheet Metal Intake
-All couplers and T-bolt clamps needed
-New coolant overflow bottle

Introductory Price will be $1100

We are working to have these kits available and IN STOCK READY TO SHIP in about 4 weeks.

hey ben i have been talking to kevin about the kits he also told me something about some ford sensor you guys are making a flange for but i was wondering if you going to over a i/c that opens up to alittle over 3'' to fit a gm mas. also could u tell kevin to send the pics thanks

I don't have any information on the AGP kit (since it isn't out yet), but I do have a comparison of the IRC kit versus the Pro Street Kit. Since you already had the IRC kit, you should be able to appreciate this.

The write up that I did can be seen here: http://66.193.230.60/~dlara/sedsmorg/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12015

All of the pictures I took can be seen here: http://people.clemson.edu/~nanthon/ic/index.htm

Overall impression: Pro Street makes an awesome kit. The quality is top notch and beats or matches IRC just about everywhere.

I would assume AGP's kit would be of high quality also, but we won't know until the kit is out.

Got Grip: Thanks for the pics :thumb:. I am probably going with the Pro Street 2g race kit as soon as they get them in stock. It's nice to hear that the quality is good.

*edit*
I couldn't get the link to the post of the comparison to work.

Maybe you need to be logged in, I'm not sure. Anyway, go to www.dsmhorsepower.com click on Forum and its the first post in the Parts Review section. That should get you there. It is basically just an explanation of whats seen in the pictures and my personal opinions on things.

Ha. Good idea. ;)

hey got grip that is some nice work u did, but one thing for that prostreet kit did they make u a pipe to fit the gm mas or was that done by u. also agp is using something called a ford sensor that is just a wire that taps into the i/c pipe and taps in like a egt probe. kevin said that its giong to be the newest best thing comeing out so who knows. and if this is so and it works no more bulky gm mas

I believe you are correct saying the endtanks will block the sides of the radiator because the core is slightly shorter. Although, wouldn't the top of the radiator still be exposed allowing better cooling efficiency? Thats why I thought there was a kit specifically for a street setup and a kit designed for a race set up. What are your or anyones experiences with the different size cores. I'm not concerned with price, I just want to see which one is better for a daily driver.. Just seeing if anyone has experience or info with cooling and/or overheating issues on either of these cores...

core size & specs
2-120 3.5"x7.9"x24" 520hp 740 flow rate
2-216 3.5"x10.5"x28" 530hp 790 flow rate
