I have a FWD turbo. I am soon to be doing the evo iii mani, O2, and Turbo swap. I want the turbo to lag on spool up due to my traction problems w/ FWD. This is a problem now, with the T-2tiny and I have brand new perf. tires. I want to know, since the evo iii mani, turbo, and O2 are already as big stock as the 2g ported, why should i get it ported? It seems the reason for porting is to make your turbo spool up faster, which i do not want. I'm not going to be doing any serious drag racing w/ my car or anything, just occasional street racing. I'm going to have it at around 350 hp eventually. Will not porting my exh. parts allow me to reach this goal, cuz i don't see why it would prevent me from it. Should I at minimum just grind down the steps on the turbo and mani?

help me out peeps:dsm:

dont base your turbo on the lag it has for FWD, just set up your suspension to accomodate

anyways you port it to make it flow better, which of course means faster spoolup but it will also flow more up top
