IS anyone running the new AFCII. I would like to know how accurate the knock counter is, becaus if it works good, that would be a huge tunning tool. That coupled with an EGT and you could safely tune the motor yourself without the need for dyno/wideband time

i have it but i have a 2g that doesent show knock, Anyways i have a freind with a 1g, and it works like any other knock sensor

Are you saying that the AFC II comes with its own sensor? I thought the AFC II works off the stock sensor, and that is why I wanted to know how accuratly it read the stock sensor

DO NOT TRUST THE KNOCK SENSOR. I have the safc II and the sensor does not work. On the safc i would get a knock reading of 60 some odd and more knock when on my logger i would be getting 0-10. If you want true tuning capabilities get a datalogger.

The S-AFC 2 has alot more to offer over the S-AFC then just "looks"

If your gonna buy 1 do some reasearch and you will see what i'm talking about.

I personally have an S-AFC 2 and I love it.

With the datalogger you cannot change fuel trims for richer or leaner. With the safc you can. But what use is a safc if you dont know what to change. The knock sensor on the safc II does not work (or at least with my 1g). The logger will show you what to change and the safc will do it. although it can be done but not as accurately. As for I and II i would suggest the II. This has way better capabilities. The II will let you change you fuel trim at more points. 12 points i think it is when the safc I has far less. Thats just one benefit. Its all personal choice. (the II is cheaper too i believe)

there must be something wrong with yours, my freinds 1g reads it perfectly

well, this is why I brought up the discusion, to see the usefulness of the II's knock sensor. WIll a few people with the II and datalogers test them out and see what the dilly is?

Im sick :barf:
