Wiring Harness Removal

To remove the wiring harness, I have gotten the dash all out, but it feeds into the firewall area, and I am not sure how to get the rest of it out from there? Do I have to get into the firewall? If so, does that mean taking off everything inside the engine bay that is connected on the firewall?

Or can I somehow just pull out the old one where it goes into the firewall/engine bay area? If anyone has done a wiring harness swap, let me know what you did. I am converting a car from NT to a turbo.

Look at everything from the engine bay side. See where the main wiring harness goes through the firewall to the left of the battery? Find that on the inside, you may have to remove the blower part of the HVAC system, I don't remember. That whole bundle is taped into a plastic clip. Bend the four tabs back and slide it into the engine bay.

what about where it goes into the drivers side? It looks as if it almost feeds into the side of the car, but i think it comes in somewhere below/around the steering coloumn? anyone know?

It goes under the fender, but comes through the firewall. It's directly behind that whole fusebox/junction part. It's kind of a PITA to get at. Take off the splash shield in the fender well to get an idea where it goes through.
