I was wondering what the stock valvespring limits are? Also are the valvesprings fro the turbo and the non turbo the same? I am building a 6 bolt for my 2G and here are the some of my mods:
HKS 272 cams
Magnus manifold(waiting to purchase)
SBR GT13 turbo
Dejon Race FMIC
Ross/Eagle bottom end
DSMLink V2
The redline will be set to 8500 or less and I have heard that the stock valvesprings will handle that. What would you guys recommend? I feel no need in buying them if they are not necessary because that would take money away from the rest of the fund. Thanks

It's all up to you. Do you want to risk it, or do you want to spend some more money and have a little more piece of mind?

I don't rev my car past 7600 with 264/272 cams. I've "Heard" they are good to 8000, but that's just heresay.

Get some Crower springs/Ti retainers and solid lifters. Don't run the high profile cams on the stock HLA system, it will be a waste of money, especially after 7K rpms. :D

It's a theory, and I hope you were joking.

No one I've seen/heard of, has had good results on solid lifters. The only time you need them is for cam degree'ing.

So what this means is..

No one runs solid lifters. No one ever will when the stock shit is decently adequate up to 10k. Especially when solid ones like to fly through valve covers and hoods.

Werd, plus my "shitty" stock lifters have regularily gone up to 9000rpm, I have had no problems.
